Gulf telethon?

Tags: politically, Politics Where exactly is the benefit to help the folks in the Gulf communities? The latest oil spill is devasting to the people there whos lives depend on the fishing etc., not to mention the wildlife and ecosystems that are effected or to the families who lost someone in the explosion. I'm most certainly on board to help Haiti...I donated. But, shouldn't there be some sort of telethon set up to help the Gulf coast?? IBF. Where are the celebrities now? Summer vacation? Where are the bands volunteering the profits of their concerts? Why hasn't someone started making braclets? What the hell?
